About Me | Sterling Scott
I am a Product Strategist at Skookum, a digital. transformation agency in Charlotte, North Carolina that creates digital products and experiences for enterprises. Outside of my full-time role at Skookum, I am also a part-time Product Marketing Manager at SmarterQueue, and HILT (high-impact, low-touch) roduct marketing consultant at MaaS Affect.
I spend most of my days helping Skookum clients build software that provides amazing experiences for their customers and employees. For help creating digital products and amazing experiences message me at my Skookum email.
I also manage prooduct marketing for SmarterQueue. Click here to learn more about my work experience.
Outside of product and marketing, I serve as a resource for nonprofits and public institutions. I help create career training programs, write curriculums, and develop career pathways. I also speak at conferences and events and provide training on these topics: being an intrapreneur, customer experience research and design and next generation career and technical development.
I was named to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Black Chamber of Commerce's 2018 30 Under 30 list and the Charlotte Agenda's 2017 30 Under 30 list. I also received a Charlotte Chamber (now Charlotte Regional Business Alliance) Young Professionals Award.
When I’m not working, I’m a soccer and basketball dad, a frequent traveler, and a supporter of local art and cultural events.
I take pride in being actively involved in the Charlotte community and have taught a UX Design for Beginners class at Tech Talent South, spoken at two Skookum Meetup Mashup / Tech Talk events, served on the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance's Young Professionals Board; I have served on the Board of Directors at Metrolina Regional Scholars Academy (where I went for middle school); I worked with Goodwill and Tech Talent South to launch new a new IT training program; and I participated in and graduated from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department's Citizen's Academy.
I'm very passionate about the work that I do and the community in which I do it. If you’re interested in working together, let me know how I can help.
